two accounts
-
I originally had a wordpress.com sign in using my email. This was so I could comment on other people’s blogs. I now have a wordpress website and that is under a different account. I have to sign in differently depending on what I am doing. Is there a way I can connect the two (or am I missing something really easy?)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can transfer one of the blogs to the account you would like to keep by following the instructions in this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Any new post or comments will be made under the retained username.

Thank you for your response. I’m not sure that is what I want to do. I do not have a blog under my gmail account. (only follow blogs) My optonline account is what is registered to my website (&blog). I would like to be able to make comments under my optonline account. I actually no longer need the gmail attachment to wordpress. When I try to sign in using optonline to make a comment or like someone else’s blog it doesn’t allow me to do so. I have to sign in under my gmail account.

It looks like your optoline account is used for self-hosted blog, http://dracaenawines.com/
Please be aware that WordPress.com will have no idea about your self-hosted blog account unless you have Jetpack plugin installed on your self-hosted blog and link it to your WordPress.com account.
Without Jetpack you can only use WordPress.com account to like or comment on WordPress.com blogs.

Thank you. I do have JetPack installed and active. I would greatly appreciate it if you explained how to link it to my wordpress.com account. On the iOs app, I am able to access my site. THank you for your help.
