Two accounts, I want to switch my email address.

I have two accounts, one listed under (email visible only to moderators and staff) and the other is (email visible only to moderators and staff). I want “astarlingwrites” to rely on my (email visible only to moderators and staff) email address since my (email visible only to moderators and staff) email address expires when I graduate from college. Help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Each WordPress.com account must have a unique email address, so we can’t add the email address from one account to a second one.

To resolve this issue, since you’re using Gmail, what I’d recommend is creating a new Gmail + email address, which is recognized as a different address by our system but not by Gmail. You could then change your “astarlingwrites” account to that address.

This post from Gmail explains the process:

In their example, hikingfan @ gmail.com would be like your existing email address, but you could append something like +astarlingwrites to the end so you could use it on your new blog.

(Note: I added spaces to the example address so it wouldn’t be redacted by our forums.)

You could alternately create a brand new gmail account for the second WordPress.com account – that’s up to you.

One thing to note: you will want to keep track of what you use as your email address on the account, since you might need that to regain access/reset your password in the future.
