two accounts with the same email address

I tried to follow a new blog and somehow I got onto someone else’s account. It seems you have two people with the same email address. I use (email visible only to moderators and staff) and they use (email visible only to moderators and staff). Now I am on their account and I want to be back on mine. I don’t have a site and don’t want one. I just want to follow the blogs I choose. Help!

While Gmail sees “
(email visible only to moderators and staff)” and “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” as the same, WordPress.com does not.However, I only show that there is one WordPress.com account using either address – the one you’re currently logged into using the first email address variation.
It looks like you’ve used that email address to follow many blogs over the years but only created a WordPress.com account using that same email address earlier today. Were you trying to manage your subscriptions or do something else? You don’t need to have a website here – you can use the WordPress.com Reader to read all the blogs you currently follow and manage your subscriptions from there as well.

Hi,
I was trying to manage my blogs and somehow started a “site”, which I don’t want to do. I was trying to follow a blog and when I try to confirm following it, I get an email saying that it has expired or something. It was just sent to me today. I am totally confused and am simply trying to follow a new blog. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!

I went to the reader link and there are two items I am supposably following that I never clicked on to follow and none of the blogs I follow is listed there. It truly is like there are two different accounts and I am trying to find the one I have with all my blogs that I follow.

We do not show a second WordPress.com account under the email addresses you provided. only this one we’re chatting under now. Possibly you have created your account with us under a different email address?
One thing you can try is to send yourself a login link. You can use this from and add in any email addresses you have, and see if you get a login link in the inbox for that address: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
