Two addresses, one website
-
Hey there, I want to have traffic sent to my site using two different addresses, and I know it can be done, I’m just not seeing that option anywhere. For example, I want someone who types in [redacted] to be sent to [redacted], as well as if they typed in [redacted]. So, using your analogy that it is your address, I’d like to be able to approach the homebase, ‘www.saintmaryschamber.com’ from two different directions on the map.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello.
I was trying to access both of the websites you talked about: [redacted] and [redacted] but I get nothing returning back, but an error.
I ran a whois check and I’ve seen that this domains have not been bought yet.
First of all, you would need to buy the domains from a domain registrar. After that, what are you talking about is having a redirect happening, so that when somebody is visiting any of this 2 links you specified above, it will be redirected to the main domain of your choice.
However, what I don’t understand is if you want to display on both of this domain the content from [redacted].
Can you please help me understand better what you are trying to do?

Hey there, can you please remove this from the forums asap until we figure out what domain we want to stick with? I’d rather speak privately about this matter.

Sure. I will add a tag to this post so that an Automattic employee can delete your content as you requested.

Hi visitsmks,
As mihaiapetrei mentioned, neither domains are registered yet so that is the first step in the process:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/
Custom domains are a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Each plan includes one domain credit which can be used to register a new domain or map one you already own. You can register other domains but they will need to paid for in addition to your plan.

It’s possible to use both domains on the same site. You can register as many as you like but a site can only have one primary domain — this is what visitors will see in their browser’s address bar when they visit your site:
Visitors can still get to your site using the other domains but they will forward to the primary domain.

We are only able to remove a thread if it represents a valid security or personal safety concern. However, I can remove the URLs from the thread for you.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
