Two appearance problems with k2 theme

  Hi all,

  I’m using the K2 theme, I have two small things I want to fix with how it looks, not sure if it’s easy or not:

  – There is a strip of white space above my header image which I can’t seem to get rid of despite messing around with different images;
  – I want the tabs for my pages to appear as grey when not in use and white when they are selected. At the moment they are transparent when not selected, which means they get lost in the image. I’ve seen a blog that does this the way I want: http://rowansimpson.com/ but not sure how he managed it.

  Thanks. Now, just to clarify: do you have the CSS upgrade or not? There are only a couple of forum volunteers who know their way around CSS, and I’m not one of them. But they’ll need to know if you’ve got the upgrade or not. Do NOT buy it if you don’t already know CSS.

  No I don’t have the upgrade. I’ve been put off by the warnings of how tricky it is, but I maybe tempted to learn it if I can’t fix the above stuff without it.

  Hi Christy –

  This is done on my blog using CSS.

  As the others have said, you’ll need the WordPress CSS Upgrade to do this, and unless you can code you might want to find somebody who can to help you set this up.

  Ah, brilliant! Thanks so much Rowan. I’m sure I can dig out a couple of computer people from among my friends.

  Really enjoying your blog by the way. I’m from Wellington too, just on a temporary absence. Hope the weather improves there, I hear it’s not been so good over christmas.
