Two blog pages?
-
Hello again,
Is there an approach which allows for having two blog post pages within one blog? The ideal would be to have my main posts show on the front page as usual – but to have quick short posts appear on a seperate page.
I could just manually create a new page and have one big post, to which i would manually add new content. That method wouldnt allow for post-specific comments, though, right?
Is there some way to label posts and have them appear on specified pages correlated with those labels?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Maybe you could use two parent categories, and in your widgets, rename the Categories “Pages”. Use the top bar that you have in your theme for HOME and then actual static pages.
Also, I like your new theme.

Just use Categories. That is exactly their function. Someone clicks on the categories in the sidebar and gets only those posts. You can use a trick to map page tabs to your category pages if you want, or just use the Category widget in the sidebar.

My Archives and Category pages show only post titles. Is there a way to have the full text show on thoose category pages? Is that theme-specific? (Doesnt seem to be any option to show full text)
Also, when I ‘privately’ publish a post, the post still shows on my front page. Is that just because I’m an admin? Would others see it?
Thanks much.

1. Yes, it’s theme-specific – see here:
2. Yes, because you’re an admin: log out and you’ll see what visitors see.
