Two Blogrolls??
-
Hi,
New to WP and still trying to work through some of the basics. I am amazed at how powerful WP is, yet I am early in the learning curve so know little of what I don’t know.
I am currently using “Fadtastic 1.0” theme. I have re-named Blogroll, as “Associations”, yet for some reason Blogroll/Associations show up on both the far right column (near bottom currently) and at the bottom of the page.
I don’t want any links across the bottom, or even the tab that suggests “try other links on our blogroll”. I understand (I think) that it is simple to drag and drop widgets, but somehow, I always have two sets of the same links and this big bulky/clunky footer. Is the solution moving over to a commercial WP host and manually modifying the stylesheet/template?
Thanks in advance.

The blogroll at the bottom of your blog is hardcoded for that theme. Choices are to either change themes or try hiding it via CSS with the upgrade and a hidden remark for both your feed_bar and one of the footer divs. The footer depends on how much you want to get rid off.

Thank you. I guess I need to find another 3 or 4 column template from the gallery. I have found a few good ones (wp themes on other sites), but I guess the only way to use them would be to host elsewhere? Not keen on downloading from wp.org, as I have already learned more about this great system than I ever intended;-}

We’re running a different platform here called wordpress multiuser. We don’t have access to uploading although with the CSS upgrade and the sandbox theme, you can usually dupe most designs. Please see the stickies for more information.
