Two Blogs Attached to One Email Account
-
Does anyone know if it is possible to have two WordPress blogs/accounts linked to the same email address? I want to keep my professional and personal blogs separate, but linked to the same email…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but that’s definitely a “no go”. Our email address are the unique identifier here. What that means is that the email address we use to register a username account with cannot be used on more than ONE username account. It also means when we are signed in a register a blog it will be connected to the username account we were logged in to.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/It’s every easy to get another email account. So when we want to have blogs that are not associated with each other we register another username account and use a different email address.

Morning @TT
If they set up a second blog using their original account the blogs would be mostly separate (you would see the same user name on both sites but otherwise the blogs would be separate). You could also set the blog up on the same account but then add yourself as a new user with a different email account for the different user name on the second blog.
I hope I did not confuse thing completely for you. But you end choice depends in part on how much separation between the two blogs you need.

i have a similar issue , as i have started 3 blogs on the one email/username and do not want them to be linked – so no one looking at them will know they are by the same auther.
so if i follow what you are saying then if i want to add another user, does this user have to have another blog attatched to it?
if not how do i add a user?
as when i went to add a user – i needed to invite the other email address, and then it looked like i needed to set up a blog? -
No, the other users do not have to have a blog, all you need to do is to create the new users, assign them as admins on the appropriate blogs, and then just remember to log out and sign in under the correct usernames when you want to work on the other blogs.

The easiest way is just to sign out of wordpress and then go to http://wordpress.com/signup/ and sign up for the new username. Then make sure you are logged out and do the same thing for the other username. Make sure that I don’t want a blog is selected.

OK – me again!
I have tried to log in using the names of my blog as user names (as this will make things clearer and simplier for me to remember) – and as I did this when i set up the initial blogs it is now saying that these usernames are already used. is there anyway I can change this now?

Put the usernames you are having problems with here. I have tagged this for staff attention and hopefully they will be able to fix things for you.

The usernames are already in use by the blogs themselves, but they aren’t actually usernames that you can login with.
Fortunately, there are ways around this. Please contact us via http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ with the usernames you want activated for login and we’ll take of it for you.

thanks so much
I have a primary blog – (email visible only to moderators and staff) & this has a username thescalesdontlie.
I started a 2 other blogs:
1)(email visible only to moderators and staff) & at registration typed in mysnapshotsintime as username
2)(email visible only to moderators and staff) & at registration typed in dressedtothrill as username.on the 2 secondary blogs the user comes up as the primary username and when i go to register just a username as suggested above, it comes up that these user names have already been used ( & they have by me)
I appreciate any help you can give me
