Two blogs for same user getting mixed up

I’ve created two blogs recently; point7.wordpress.com, and actualizer.wordpress.com . I’m having a lot of trouble with the second one; often, when I try to view it, it’ll redirect to point7.wordpress.com, why? Also, the dashboard seems to struggle with two blogs at once; when I select the tab for “Actualizer”, it still says “Point7” as the title, but shows Actualizer’s information. When I hit Settings, it always gives me the settings pages for Point7, regardless of which blog I was in the desktop for. Help!

One thing you might try is to log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. Sometimes things like you are experiencing are a browser cookie issue.

  • emlyn, The problem should be resolved now. It was a server caching issue.

ok cool, thanks for fixing that. Will that happen regularly, or did I do something wrong?

Don’t worry, it was a problem our end – it shouldn’t happen again!

It just happened again, but I managed to resolve it myself.

The culprit, I think, is the WordPress Sidebar, an add-in to firefox which I’ve been using to blog. As soon as I post a new entry to Actualizer.wordpress.com, blam, it’s redirecting to point7.wordpress.com, and the dashboard is a mess again.

But this time after it happened I tried submitting another post from the wordpress dashboard, and everything righted itself.

It’s repeatable behaviour. So I assume the wordpress sidebar is doing something wrong. Does this also point at a problem with the api, if an add-in can break things like this? In any case, my short term fix is to stop using the wordpress sidebar!

Oh, the wordpress sidebar that I’m talking about is here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2996
