Two blogs with same domain name

  I have two blogs, one Elly van Laar Coaching, the other Elly van Laar, Compassion Coach. In reader I can’t switch to Elly van Laar, Compassion Coach. While, when I click on Elly van Laar Coaching it says it doesn’t exist.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there!

  When I take a look at ellyvanlaar.com, I see your WordPress.com site. I am able to access that site in the reader.

  Your self-hosted (jetpack) site cannot have the same custom domain. Only one of these sites can use ellyvanlaar.com. Currently, it’s mapped to your WordPress.com site. Are you planning to use it with your self-hosted site? If so, you’ll need to disconnect the mapping from ellyvanlaar.wordpress.com. I can do this for you, if you give me permission.

  Once this is all cleared up, the Reader issue will be ironed out.

  Hi Thatrobyn,

  Thank you so much for your swift response. I am planning to keep the WordPress.com website. What should I do with the self-hosted site? Can I delete that one? And how I can see Stats of the WordPress.com in my Reader? It only shows for the self-hosted one. Neither can I see My Blogs in the headline of the Reader.

  Hello again!

  If you’d like, I can disconnect your Jetpack/self-hosted site from your WordPress.com account. Then, it won’t interfere with your WordPress.com site in the Reader.

  Let me know if I have your permission to do this, and I can take action!

  Thanks again for your swift reply, I feel relieved to get the support I need. If you would disconnect my jetpack domain from my WordPress account, what are the consequences?

  Elly, If I disconnect the Jetpack site, it will no longer be visible in your My Sites list.

  If your self-hosted/Jetpack site is still up and running, you can absolutely reconnect it…but it’ll have to be under a domain name different than the one you’re using for your WordPress.com site.
