Two Categories Selected, But Only One Shows on the Front End
-
Hey guys. I am having a problem with category tagging on our blog. Most of my posts have two categories but on the front end, only one shows up. When I click on the category that doesn’t show up, the blog post still appears there, but I’d like the two categories to show. Any work arounds for this or ideas of why it might be happening?

Might be the theme has an option to display only parent category on the front end.
Can you tell which theme are you using?
-
It’s the Neville them.
There’s no parent/child category, though. They’re both parents. Is that why? For example, it’s a cannabis blog, and this one falls under both Cannabis and Wellness categories.

Okay, i think i got this.
So you can assign only one Primary category to a single blog post. Although you can assign multiple categories but there is only one Primary Category. So looks like this theme only displays the Primary category. So select the most relevant as your Primary Category.

Your username is not linked to a site and you failed to post the URL starting with http:// for the site you refer to.
To save you time you can type the actual URL of the site you are referring to into http://whoishostingthis.com to determine who hosts the site so you know where to post for support.
We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page. However, about 30% of those who post here every day are posting to the wrong support forum and must be redirected to the correct support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support. -
Please always confirm the URL of the site referred to before providing any assistance.
The Neville theme does not exist here at WordPress.COM. It is a WordPress.ORG theme https://wordpress.org/themes/search/Neville/ and this person is posting to the wrong support forum.
