you could do it with CSS; you are using a customized theme already so I’d recommend you check out the CSS parts of this article:

bobbol,
Thank you for the input.
My site is not customized. It’s out of the box twenty thirteen.

If you mean you want two columns of posts, you need a different theme. If you mean you want the content of a post in two columns, you can use coding in the so-called Text editor; see this post of mine:
Formatting text pt. 1: blank lines, alignment, wrap-around, two columns

justpi,
Thank you very much for the input.
I checked your site. It explains everything very clearly. One question only. With this method do I use HTML editor for posting or visual editor?

timethief,
Thank you very much for the input. What about the content – posts, pages. Would I be able to use the visual editor or have to use text editor every time?
-
To create two columns in any post or page you have to use the Text (HTML) editor and enter the appropriate code into each post or page.

Much appreciated.
I think I’d be better off by buying a theme designed to handle 2-columns, like Duet for instance.
