two domain names

  I have two domain names that are linked to the same wordpress blog site. I would like to eliminate one of the domain and make the other active. GoDaddy can’t help and told me to contact you. Can you help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Currently I only see one domain in your account: sharegodsgrace.co, which is pointing to your site: dan1953.wordpress.com.

  The .co is registered through WordPress on GoDaddy but the .org (the one I want to use) is registered on GoDaddy. That’s why you can’t find it. I want people to go to .org and also I need to be able to edit the .org one. So either the .co needs to be eliminated or put in the background somehow.
  The problem is when I’m on .org I have no dashboard so all my editing is done on .co.
  I guess it really doesn’t matter except I purchased a 5 year domain for .org and only a 1 year for .co.
  GoDaddy says they can’t help and I have to go through you guys!
  What are my optons?

  Hi there,

  So if I’m understanding you correctly – you purchased XXXXX.org domain that you would like to point to your WordPress.com site: dan1953.wordpress.com? Currently you have the domain: sharegodsgrace.co pointing to that WordPress.com site, but now you want your XXXXX.org site to point to your WordPress.com site.

  You can do this by purchasing a new Domain Mapping upgrade and by logging into GoDaddy’s control panels and setting your your nameservers to ours:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Once you add the domain, you just have to set XXXXX.org as the primary by going to Store > My Domains in your Dashboard and all your readers will be redirected to that domain.
