Two factor authentication issue.
-
Ok, big problem: I have 2FA active and I have the backup codes saved. The issue is that my phone broke and so I’ve lost the GAuth toke for wordpress. But it seems that none of my backup codes work. I’m still logged on my wordpress site, and so I can post and view statistics and comments, but anything related to my account is blocked.. What can I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you access this page?
https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step/
If you can, you should be able to generate new backup codes, which will allow you to disable 2fa to move it to a new device.
Let me know if you’re unable to access that page.

Hi:
It asks for the user and password, which are correct, and then it asks again for the 2FA codes or Backup codes. So while I can access it, I can’t go forward to disable and enable again 2FA.

Ok. Checking my emails I have two 2FA authentications done. One a 27 of March of 2015, and another with disable and enable at 8 of August of 2015.
My backup codes are for the first activation…. So without finding the second set of activation codes, I really I’m locked out of the account.

Excellent :)
I see you’ve now deactivated 2FA. If you want to re-enable it, perhaps make sure that you destroy all old printed backup codes, so they don’t become confused with your new ones.

I’ve missed the change on August. but since the files have the dates on it, it was easy to find them.
