  I’m having issues with 2FA. When I login, it asks me for code sent to my phone but I need to retry multiple times and wait for more than 10mins just to get 1 code.

  So, I wanted to remove 2FA from my account but it again asks me for code but even after multiple tries and waiting for more than 20mins I’m still not getting any code.

  Please remove 2FA from my account.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  That’s when the recovery codes are at hand. Don’t wait till you receive a code instead use an unused recovery code.

  I received the code after trying it again few hours so I have disabled it now but it’s good to know backup codes also work for disabling 2FA, I thought it was only for logging in.

  Anyways, probably best to stick with 2FA via app instead of SMS from now.
