Two Home page links in "Business Identity" theme menu bar

I’m setting up a blog using “Business Identity,” a premium theme. During the setup process, I followed the documentation advice and set up two pages: Home and Updates. A collaborator also set up the pages About and Contributors. At some point, the site (or WordPress) got involved and created a second Home page. Queries:

    1. How do I get rid of this automatically generated Home page?

    2. How do I ensure that it cannot be re-generated in the future?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Create a custom menu and add only the Home link you want to display in it.

Hello timethief! Many thanks for your help again. I went there, the light shone, the scales fell from my eyes, the process worked!

Idea for reducing setup drag coefficient in the future: Put a notice somewhere where non-programmers can’t miss it, that all WP themes require an either/or menu approach: either the Default set in its entirety, or a custom set in *its entirety—never a hybrid.

Thank you again for your help. *~~~
