Two Identical Blogs?
-
I wish to empty my site of all of its content but keep the site name. I have defected to Blogspot (http://quickfog.blogspot.co.uk/) because I could not find a satisfactory template on WordPress where I could freely adjust variables like text size.
BUT BUT BUT…
Are there good reasons to keep a mirror site on WordPress?
Most importably, will I be penalised by search engines (eg Google) for having two identical blogs?
Does anyone know the answers?
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you have a lot of followers or people who know your current site? If so, you should definitely set up your current WordPress site to redirect to Blogspot. Once people know a URL for a site that’s the one they keep going to. Not sure about the effects on search engines, but in theory you’ll have multiple sites linking to each other which is something they usually take into account when indexing (in a good way).
Not that you asked for this either, but have you tried playing with formatting within Pages/Posts OR looking at some of the paid upgrades for customization of themes? I only ask because you can change font size and header status for most stuff in Pages or Posts to make them look nice, and you can actually get away with a little more inline CSS editing than WordPress would have you believe. I only bring this up because I used to use Blogspot and found it disappointing for a name of reasons that WordPress takes care of perfectly.
