Two Images Instead of One
-
Hi
I’m really struggling with my blog because when I upload one image onto a blogpost and I publish, when I then go and click on that blog post, two images appear instead of one.
How do I get rid of this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @findingfaithalone.
The full-width image appearing at the top of your posts is what WordPress calls the “feature image.”
It looks like you are using the Rebalance theme. This theme has a default option that automatically uses the first image in the post as the featured image, so it is duplicating the image you inserted in the post and you are seeing it twice.
You can turn off this function by customizing the theme. In the left sidebar underneath the “Personalize” heading you should see a tool icon and the word “Customize.” Click on that menu item. This will load the Customizer.
In the Customizer, choose “Content Options.” In the panel that opens there are several options for Featured Images. Unchecking the last one, “Automatically use first image in post,” will prevent the theme from using the post images this way but you will need to choose a featured image manually for each post.
You could also remove the image from the post content on each page, leaving it set at the featured image. You can see which image is set as the featured image in the right sidebar of the post/page editor under the “Featured Image” heading.
How you approach it really depends on how you want the site to look and function, and I would suggest trying it both ways to see which one gives you the result you are looking for.
