two log in names, one email address – problems

I originally registered with wordpress on another person’s blog and used a log-in name (h-b)and my email address. Later I started a wordpress blog and used another log-in name (h-l) and the same email address. I can’t find my password to my first log-in name (h-b) so I can only sign in with my second one- (h-l) but I need to use my first log-in name (h-b) at that other blog. How do I recover the first password and sign in with the first log-in name (h-b) since my email address is now associated with my second log-in name (h-l) and my own blog so they send me that password not the first one.

WordPress.com won’t let you associate two different usernames with the same e-mail address (unless you created the accounts a long time ago) so your first username is probably connected to another e-mail address. Is there any other address you might have used?
If you don’t come up with anything, and your friend still has access to the blog associated with the first account he/she could add re-add you to the blog with your new username and then you’d have access to both through the same account.
