Two of my posts' content got erased.
-
I wrote a blog entry about two months ago, but I have saved it as a draft instead of posting it right away. It stayed safe in my drafts for about two months and all was well. One day, while I was writing a new post and posted it as a password-protected post, I was shocked to see that the SAVED contents of my post had been erased as soon as it was posted. It went to nothing. Vanished. The only thing left was the title and the excerpt. I was so upset that something I worked hard to write has just been erased by YOUR website just like that. With nothing to post, I decided to delete the entry with literally no content(erased by wordpress.) and post the draft I wrote and prepared TWO MONTHS ago. It was good, but I don’t think I checked the blog from an outsider’s perspective to see if it was posted or not. A few days after, I checked it and lo and behold, no content. Again, I was so upset. I have no idea what your problem is that you keep throwing people’s hard work just like that but thanks a lot, wordpress. You really made my day. Thanks for preserving our hard work. You are the best blogging site in the entire internet.

http://thisiswhereifall.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=pageStaff are working on improving post and page revisions. The most recent 25 revisions are available for posts and pages.
If you cannot restore from your browser, or locate a revision, or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
re: recovering a lost post or page
Please go to https://wordpress.com/post with the same browser and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover it.If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Pages > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needed.

Any idea why, if it autosaves every few seconds, is this huge a block of text missing??
Yes, my guess is that you are not using a desktop computer and not using the classic interface. I believe you are describing either a browser related issue or a connectivity issue.
Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at https://browsehappy.com Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and see the tips here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
