Two post pages?

Is it possible to have two pages in the blog where you can post?

I would like to have one page where I have posts and then on the front page have posts that deal with upcoming events etc…

Is there is plugin that creates this?

If so, does intertwine the posts to make a post that is supposed to be on one page end up on the other page?

    Please help.

No, you cannot have two “blog-pages” if that is what you mean.
But you might solve it in another way – have a text widget in your sidebar called upcoming events, for example, or a category that you link to.

Not on a WordPress.com blog. There is only one Posts page.

However, you can mark your Events Posts with an Events Category and then use the Category widget in your blogs sidebar so that people who click on the Category in the sidebar will be taken to a dynamically generated page showing all Posts marked “Events”.

Another way I’ve done this to highlight certain Categories on my own blog was to have a separate page that contains a link to each Category’s RSS feed. Again, when visitors click on that link, they are taken to a dynamically generated page with all Posts that have been marked with that specific Category.

    Hope that helps.
