Two problems – removing old text header and font-face
-
I have a header image in place but I cannot find, for the life of me, how to NOT have the text header that defaults with my page.
My second problem is font-face. it simply does not seem to be working. I am in preview mode because I do not wish to spend 30 bucks if it’s not going to work.
I tried pasting the code before but I think it is getting flagged and auto-closed for some reason…
So here is a link to a text of the code:
Thanks in advance for any help

Okay. I purchased the customization product. Hopefully now someone can offer their gigantic brain to help me :)

Alright, I’ve given up on font-face. I think the ones I got when I bought the customize package will work well-enough. But, is there a way to remove my header text so I can use the graphic I made instead?
Thanks again for any help

I see no header image on http://scifi2real.wordpress.com/ .
The font preview thing is, in my experience, pretty much useless. I’ve never had it show a preview and typically it will show an error of some sort.

I took the graphic out, ultimately. Actually, I JUST retro-ed it back to the original theme before I altered anything. If you could take a look at it NOW, and tell me where and how I can remove the header text, I’d be very happy.

This will do it. It hides the text but keeps it there for the search engines to find by moving it way off to the left.
#header { text-indent: -9999px; } -

I’ve used the font previews tons of times, and I don’t usually have any trouble at all with it. If you’re see any errors for it, I’d love to check them out and get them fixed if there’s anything we can do from the WordPress.com site.

@font-face is currently not permitted for security reasons (there are some ways it can be exploited). However, we would like to look into adding @font-face support in the future if we can find a good way to limit it to trusted resources.
Hopefully you were able to pick out a font you like from Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts instead though!
