Two problems with sticky posts

I have two blogs and a problem on each of them with the sticky posts.
I am stressed about the energy and nerves I have had to waste asking about one problem. I’ve tried to go private with paying someone a few dollars to answer the question, but that’s just another waste of time as you have to keep explaining the problem over and over and over again and then still don’t receive a resolution.
CAN I PLEASE HAVE AN ANSWER TO THIS SO I CAN STOP BEING DRIVEN UP THE WALL BY IT????????????????????????????????????
The question is how do I get rid of the shading on truthinreality.com
I don’t do CSS, as I don’t have time to start to learn it. I have not finished the content of the blog yet and then I have to deal with SEO.
All I want to know is how to make the background white so it will STAY there.
The other question I have is why on my other blog Torcrosschapel.com why does the sticky post not stay on the top on the left side bar but each time I put a post on it’s the new post that goes on top. I need the sticky post to stay on top.
I’d be grateful for answers to these questions. It is hardly a big deal for wordpress.com to answer them so I can get on with other things. It is unacceptable to keep being ignored or not be given a proper answer that works, over and again.

I’ll just keep bumping this until someone gives me an answer.
It’s appalling what I have had to go through in the past few weeks trying to resolve a very few simple issues and IT REALLY IS TIME IT STOPPED.
