Two questions

  I’m new to WordPress and have two questions: 1) On my front page (https://jmlauer.wordpress.com/), I have a large photo set as a banner, spanning the whole page. I want that. However, there is also a copy of that photo much smaller below the banner photo. I don’t want that. How do I get rid of the smaller photo?
  2) I am a teacher and want to have two separate blogs for my classes. On the front page, there is a tab for 7th Grade … and 8th Grade. When students click there, I would like them to see the blog for their class. I could figure out how to make one of them a blog, but not both. So for now, I have an extra click that essentially links to a different page altogether. This is one extra step for my students that I would like to eliminate. Can I do this and how? Thanks.

  [opinion] I would not use this theme for the kind of site you describe. I would use a different theme like one of these conventionally styled themes https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout+two-columns/?sort=free [/opinion]

  For this particular issue, I would just choose a different featured page. Since your users are already on the front page, you won’t want to have it link back to itself anyway.

  About the Seventh and Eighth Grade Blogs, will these be regular blog posts (like news articles) or static pages? Edin really is built more for pages, but we can convince it to display blog posts too. I just don’t see many posts on the site yet so I’m not sure whether that’s what you’re after.
