Two separate blogs, two unrelated subjects, have been combined by WordPress.
-
I have had a blog for one business (http://cross-pointblog.com) for several years for which I pay $99/year. Today I tried setting up a second blog for another one of my businesses (www.sieglindeanderson.com) and I named it Garden Threads. Somehow WordPress combined the two even though I entered two different email addresses and websites. I am totally confused by this – I want a totally different, unrelated blog – no connection between them. How do I reverse the set-up. Has WordPress changed my Premium site for cross-point? When I click on my name and Settings appear to be for cross-point but my blogs shows Garden Threads twice on the same drop down. HELP PLEASE.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m happy to help! Here’s what I see under your current account:
- sdacrosspoint.wordpress.com (Premium bundle and domain)
- sieglindehanderson.wordpress.com
- sieglindeandersonblog.wordpress.com
- 201april2014.wordpress.com
I believe you would like one of the following blogs associated with another user account:
- sieglindehanderson.wordpress.com
- sieglindeandersonblog.wordpress.com
Is that correct?
If so, the first step will be to create the second user account from the following link:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
That link will only create a new user account (not an associated blog), which is what we want because the blogs themselves are already created.
After you have created the new user account, you can transfer ownership of one or both of the blogs to the new user account following the instructions here:
Can you give those steps a try and let me know if you experience any trouble?

I tried https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
but it brings up sieglinde28 and says welcome back. That, unfortunately, is what I filled out before and then again, trying a different user name. That’s how I ended up with two new blogs.
How do I delete everything and start all over?
How can I get to WordPress to sign up for a new account as if they never heard of me? -
Hi!
This is because WordPress.com is seeing that you’re already setup with an account. In order for that link to work, you’ll need to logout of your WordPress.com account first. You can do that from the menu in the top right-hand corner underneath your image. Can you give that a try and visit that link I sent one more time?

Hi, this time it worked. Thank you. So now please tell me how to do away with the two blogs under my previous user name so WordPress doesn’t tell me the name is already in use. I tried using my regular email but that is still hanging up on the previous form so could not use it. Luckily, I have a gmail.com.
Thank you so much for your help!

Hi Sieglinde,
We don’t want to get rid of the blogs on your previous account. Instead, we want to transfer the blogs to your new user account. Once a blog is deleted, it can’t be registered by another user, which would render our efforts fruitless. However, you should be able to transfer sieglindehanderson.wordpress.com and/or sieglindeandersonblog.wordpress.com to your new user account following the instructions here:
Alternatively, if you just let me know the new username on your new account, I can do it for you. Just let me know!
