Two sites

  We have two web sites, both on wordpress.com. The old one is ezownduluth.wordpress.com. Our new one which is developed and managed for us by Retail Web Services is at ezownduluth.com. I want to close the site at ezownduluth.wordpress.com but am concerned if I do that, it would also close the other site. Would that happen ?

  No. Think of “hosting” as “place you rent to store your stuff”. You have your stuff in two different places right now (the site here at WordPress.com and the site at your other host).

  Deleting your site here at WordPress.com would delete the content at ezownduluth.wordpress.com but it would have no impact on your other hosted site. If you want to retain that content from WordPress.com, you can instead mark your site as private.

  I will note that your domain registration for ezownduluth.com is here at WordPress.com, so I would recommend transferring your domain to another domain registrar before deleting that site.
