  Find out how do I get rid of one site that is tied to another without losing both.

  Do you mean you have two sites with your account and you want to delete/remove one of them?

  In case you have an another self-hosted site connected with Jetpack. You can find instructions for removing them here

  1) I see the site that you posted countryliving4beginners.wordpress.com. What was the other site that you are concerned about?

  2) What do you mean by them being “tied together”

  I can only see one site the account you are currently logged in to — and that is countryliving4beginners.wordpress.com. What is the URL of the second site you are referring to?

  The “primary” site I have used for years is countryliving4beginners.wordpress.com.
  The site that is now giving me trouble is vashopper.wordpress.com. If I log out of the latter, it logs out of the former. Comments I make on other blogs are now from the vashopper site. I would like to delete it but afraid I will also delete my primary site. Help!

  Hi dorannrule,

  As long as you are editing the correct site it is very not really possible to mistakenly delete the wrong site.

  There is a multi stepped process for deleting a site that includes confirming by retyping the entire URL so it you have to take time to be sure you want to do that. The links below lay out a step by step process of how to do this.

  It is permanent action so be sure to export anything you would like to keep and download any media you don’t have saved elsewhere.

  Hi dorannrule,

  If I log out of the latter, it logs out of the former.

  Before you delete vashopper.wordpress.com, please follow these steps to make sure you are logged into the correct account for deleting the site:

  1. Log out of your dorannrule account
  2. Clear your browser cache using these steps
  3. Login as vashopperdor (the owner of vashopper.wordpress.com)
  4. Then go to your My Profile page and see if vashopperdor is displayed under your profile photo

  If you are logged in as vashopperdor, the site can be deleted using these steps:

  Delete a Website

  The two sites are owned by separate accounts, so you should be able to delete vashopper.wordpress.com if you are logged into the correct account.
