Two spaces between sentences can result in unwanted indents

When writing, I am in the habit of using two spaces between sentences. If one sentence ends at the end of a line, the next sentence (in the same paragraph) appears indented on the next line. I prefer the look of two spaces between sentences, but don’t like seeing the extra indent before the next sentence on the new line.

    Hi there,

Because of how text is taken from the post editor and displayed on the screen in your web browser, when you use two spaces between sentences the web browser will always display that second space. If the space happens to be at the beginning of a new line, the web browser will still display it.

Word processors on your computer often detect when a sentence ends at the end of a line, and they won’t show extra spaces at the start of the next line. However, the HTML code used to display your post’s text in your web browser will always show those spaces.

If you notice one of those spaces at the start of a new line, you may want to go back into your post editor and remove the second space there. That should fix it in your post. I hope this helps!
