Two-Step Authentication

The blog I’m asking for as she asked for help is
    http://bakerswife1908.wordpress.com/
She unknowingly subscribed to the two-step authentication. She has not downloaded Worpress two-step to mobile phone however.
She wants to disable it BUT she needs the code she was sent and she does not have it. Also the form requires it or APK1 key, or Transaction ID or Activation URL key sent when she signed up for blog

She doesn’t have any of those things to prove it is her blog. She is very new and does not understand what she needs to do, and since she has asked for my help I thought I’d ask on her behalf. WHAT on earth does she do now to stop the two step?? I’d appreciate anything you could tell me on her behalf. Diane

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Please have the owner of the blog contact the Account Recovery team directly through this form:

    Account Recovery Form

It’d be best for the user to contact them using the email address on his/her account!

    Thank you!

I have forwarded the information to the owner of the blog in question. I tried to explain as best I could what the situation was. Just a reminder that she doesn’t have any of the required APK1 key, or Transaction ID or Activation URL or key… so I hope she can contact you without these things. Thanks Diane

    Hi Diane,

It might not be possible without any of the verification methods, but I’ll have the Account Recovery team take a further look.

    Thanks!

Thanks… she really didn’t know what any of the codes meant and just ignored them. Diane

Ah I see. Hopefully our team can work it out!

Hi again.. I’m persistent if nothing else.. though you may say ‘annoying’… however the owner of the blog http://bakerswife1908.wordpress.com/
contacted me and said that she couldn’t access help from the wordpress team because you need one of the codes that I mentioned she doesn’t have because she didn’t understand what it all meant. Could they contact her and somehow work out another way for her to prove she is the owner. .. The APK1 key used to be available on our dashboard (I know mine because I copied it down) but the newer bloggers don’t have it.. I hope they can help her… Diane

This contact form https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery All she has to do is to provide as much information as she possibly can in the account recovery form and submit it.

P.S. Based on my 8 years of experience working through others is not the way to go. This wannbe a blogger will be best served in any any all support situations if she has what it takes to stop working through you and starts directly communicating to the best of her ability with Staff. Otherwise this will just spin on and on and on and on.

    Hi again Diane,
Please tell here to keep calm and to carry on with confidence. She can handle this and there’s no doubt that she will be able to demonstrate her ownership of the blog to Staff. :)
