My name is Anthony Lampkin, also known as Thomas J. I am the founder of The Urban Connect. My account, username: thomasjlive can not be accessed because not only is my Google Authenticator not recognizing my request for codes, when asked to send a text message to receive the codes, that is not working either. I had to create this account in order for me to access my website. What are my options for regaining access to the account assigned to my email: (email visible only to moderators and staff). I am in the process of rebranding the site and it is imperative for me to receive access to that account. Please advise.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, if the site is hosted by WirdPress.com, then you might need a staff support in this circumstance. Please see this official page for information regarding your issue: https://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

If your site is self-hosted (WordPress.org), then at first keep a backup of the full site. And then, see whether these tricks (on the following link) are worth trying: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-google-authenticator-how-can-i-get-access-to-my-blog-when-i-loose-my-phone

I’ve read the page thoroughly and have not been able to find the answer to assist me in fixing that situation. I need staff support and not to be referred to a forum page. My account linked to: thomasjlive is not available for me to access. Please advise.

Hi, I’ve found this account recovery form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Please try to use this to contact support. Hope it helps.

    Hi there,

I see you contacted our team from the email address on that other account, and our team replied to your email with instructions for regaining access to that account. If you have any question about that process, please reply directly to that email for more help — we aren’t able to provide account recovery assistance here in the public forums.
