Two-step authentication not working

  For the past week or so, the two-step authentication hasn’t been working. After putting in my Username and Password on the site, a notice on my mobile app allows me to log in. But for the past week, clicking ‘Approve’ on the app notice hasn’t been logging into the site. I’ve had to have the authentication texted to me, which adds fees to one’s phone plan.

  Hey there,

  There have been times where I clicked to approve access and it doesn’t work 100% of the time. I would suggest setting up Google Authenticator as well for the times it doesn’t work:

  That was you’re not going through SMS which may cost, you’ll be using an app that generates a code for you.

  I would encourage you to set that up and let me know if you have any trouble.

  I’m not trusting my security to the notoriously privacy-averse Google. I’d prefer to know that whatever glitch occurred in the WordPress app has been patched.

  It doesn’t have to be a Google app. There’s one called Authy that you could look at.
