Two step authorization
-
To get back to the original question:
You can disable two-step authentication easily if you have access to your blog. If the two-step process is preventing you from logging in, you will need to go through the password reset link and then click on “need more help?” to reach our account recovery team, who will need to be involved in order to regain access to the account.

jackiedana: Thank you for your reply. What I have on my security setting is not the two-step authentication but a four-step installed app for account recovery with a cellphone no. that does not belong to me and it does not have a disabled button for me to disable it. I am still able to have access to my wordpress.com site except that I am trying to remove and avoid the additional hoop to jump in order to have my account recovered in the case of a forgotten password or in the case of hacking. I’ve had all those problems before. If no one out there knows how to do it, I guess I can live with it.

The account lauralohhosog does not appear to have two-step authentication turned on at this time.
If you still are having difficulty accessing your account, you can go to https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword to try to reset your password, or use the “Need more help?” link to contact our account recovery team.
