  Hi. I’ve been logged out of my account on my laptop browser and the phone number I have for two step verification is no longer in use. I’m being asked for a backup code but I set the verification up 10 years ago and I have no idea what the codes are now. This is the first time I’ve ever been asked for one so I don’t understand why it’s suddenly an issue? Please advise. Ideally I would like to update my phone number. Thanks

  The backup codes are still the same as 10 years ago … the backup codes you got and were supposed to print out and/or keep on a safe place.
