Two suggestions – One for Categories and one for the Forum
-
Well one is rather simple and might be helpful.
Perhaps an edit button for the posts made in the forums? Sometimes I want to fix a tiny little error I’ve made in a previous post and would rather not have to bump a thread up over others who want the help as much as I do. Small issue really, but a suggestion is a suggestion.
And I came across this with a question I had on the support forum. The whole parent and child categories is all fine and dandy, but sometimes I want to keep bigger things in the (let’s call the primary category grandfather C:) grandfather category and not have posts from the child categories spill into the parent or grandfather category(unless I’ve ticked in those two categories as well)
I’m not sure if I’m being clear, but using my example I wanted to create a category that would keep all the stories I make together(story collection) and then have let’s say the first post for each story in this category, but then have child categories(named after the appropriate story) with all the chapters in separate posts and not have these chapters spill into the primary category(story collection).
Again, just suggestions. ^^
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I would like to see this, too. In fact, unless my memory fails me, I did used to be able to edit my WP forum posts…way back in 2006, which was the last time I actually blogged on WP.com.

Re: Edit button – It was removed by Staff as they felt it’s use was been abused by some members. Don’t forget that we have many kids like CP (flightless waterfowl) blogging here.
Re: your category suggestion
I believe that issue has been resolved here > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posts-showing-up-in-unticked-categories?replies=7#post-453683
