  Can I have two wordpress sites?
  I need one free website for my classes and a personal website for an organization I help manage. Thanks

  You can have more than one sites linked to your WordPress.com account. Each site will be independent of each other. Each site will have different plan and theme.

  So, answer to your question is yes. You can manage a free site and personal site with same account.
