Two Websites

Thank you Time Thief for answering my last question. I have another concern. But first I must tell you I know zero, zilch, nada about doing anything online but I’m trying to learn. So please have patience with me bc I’m going to be asking a lot of questions. I found out that I have 2 websites. Don’t know how that happened…I only wanted one. One is under rvjohnsonwriting4u and the other is simply rvjohnson. And how do I post my sample work on my site? I didn’t see anything allowing for that on my site.

Hey! Here’s a link on how you can delete one of your sites.
Basically, once you click “My Site” and then “Settings”, you can choose to “Delete Site”. Be careful though, because that’s permanent and cannot be undone. Hope that helps!What are you looking to post on your website? Media like pictures? Text like blog posts?

I’m a brand spanking new Freelance Online Copywriter and was told I have to set up a website.
I would like to post samples of my work as I’m hoping potential clients will be attracted to my website and be able to see my work in hopes of being hired.
Eventually I’ll probably start a blog. Don’t know about what yet but the course stated I should have one of those too. -
Sounds like your site will be great. Feel free to ask away on this forum; it’s full of willing staff and volunteers!

Do not delete the second site. Make it private, use the same theme and then use the to try things out in first like a mirror blog. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Oh my goodness…I already deleted the second site. Please forgive me because I know nothing about websites. I’m only learning now. You guys will probably get tired of me.

Yes it’s written work I’ve done. I’m a “brand spanking new” freelance online copywriter and it’s samples of things like “Sales Pages”, “Home Pages,” “Lead Generation Pages,” etc.
I’m also in the process of doing a Special Report.

I hate to be bothersome thebud15 but the link you gave me is for posting new blog posts.
I’d like to post samples of my work so that if a client comes to my website they’d be able to see what I can do and decide whether to hire me or not.
I guess this particular web host doesn’t allow that.
I wish I would’ve known that before I committed to this one because as a copywriter you have to show samples of your work.
But if anyone know more about it please let me know.

Of course! Well, if your work is all written, then are you able to copy and paste it into the section for a new blog post. Even though it’s called a “blog” post, that doesn’t mean that it’s seen simply as a “journal” type entry. Consider it a blank canvas for whatever you want to add, to include written work that you seem to have. I hope I’m catching what you’re looking to post and vice versa.

I know I’m getting to be a bother. Timethief I thought everything was done and I was finally able to post my work. At least it was yesterday when I did it.
I went back to my site today just to check it out and now the only thing that’s showing from what I did yesterday is the titles.
The articles themselves are missing. What do you think happened?
I saved them because I saw them there yesterday. Do you think I have to do them all over again? -

Staff work through all threads tagged with modlook in date stamp order serving those with the earliest dates first and moving forward to the most recent, as would be expected. How long it takes them depends on how complex the support issue in each thread is. When you subscribe you will receive an email to the email address you entered here https://wordpress.com/me/account so I recommend that you do that and get on with the rest of your work. :)
