Two websites, needing separate email addresses

  Hi,

  I have a personal blog that was set up first and I have now set up another website.

  I am wanting to change the email address on the second website so that the emails from the contact page go there instead of to my blog account email address.

  Is there any way of doing this?

  Or do I need to set up another account?

  Hello Katherine,
  Are your blog and website on different wordpress.com accounts?

  If yes, then here’s what I can suggest:
  1. Go to your account settings: https://wordpress.com/me/account and change the email to a bogus one and click Save Account Settings. So the original email to this account will be released and can be used on other accounts.
  2. Now login to your websites account.
  3. Go to account settings of this account: https://wordpress.com/me/account and use the email address here and click Save Account Settings.
  4. Now login back to you blog account and use the websites email address here.

  Hi there @blownpennies,

  If it is only the contact form email involved, no need for the above. You can change the contact form to send to a different email address than your account email address. Here’s more on that:

  @blownpennies If on the other hand you would prefer to completely separate the two sites currently under the same username account, you can register a new username account using an entirely different email address and then transfer ownership of the second site to the new account.
