Two websites on same account

    Hello,

I have a question regarding the two websites that are currently showing on my wordpress account. Currently it shows two sites to choose from; one called woo-clearly-thoughtful-sandwich.wpcomstaging.com and the other site is called *******.wordpress.com. Both of these sites display the name of my purchased domain right above them.

I installed some plugins in the site named woo-clearly-thoughtful-sandwich.wpcomstaging.com but someone told me that this is only a temporary name. Bottom line is: I would like to use the ******.wordpress.com with my purchased domain lsted above it instaed of the woo-clearly-thoughtful-sandwich.wpcomstaging.com site. I tried to install plugins in my ******.wordpress.com site but it keeps telling me to upgrade my plan so that I can activate this plugin. The woo-clearly-thoughtful-sandwich.wpcomstaging.com site is currently on the starter plan but I wanted to use the starter plan on the *****wordpress.com site instaed. Can I just delete the woo-clearly-thoughtful-sandwich.wpcomstaging.com site from my wordpress account?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sounds complicated. I’ve pinged the mod for support.

Here is a snapshot of my screen.

  • Hi @aalsaedy07! Thanks for reaching out with this question.

What you’re seeing here are the titles of your two sites, with the currently assigned primary domain names showing beneath each. the woo site is the auto-generated domain for the site that was assigned during your Woo Express trial.

Now that you’ve upgraded your Woo Express site to a paid plan and assigned your paid domain to that site, you’ll see the primary domain name that you’ve assigned to the site there instead of the generated Woo- one.

If you won’t be using the other site that is on a free plan and currently ends with , you can delete it following the steps here and then your dashboard will be a bit cleaner.

I hope this helps! I’ll mark this topic as solved since you’ve been able to set your site’s domain and things are less confusing looking now.
