Two Websites-One Login

    Hi all,
This is a bit complicated but I’ll do my best to be clear!

First of all, I am a basic marketing company doing work for small business clients/friends. I created a website for a client (ussubnv.com) using my wordpress login as I have Elementor Pro subscription. Created entire page, worked ok. Issues came when I tried to tie to URL.

Client already purchased the domain and hosting on SiteGround. So when site was complete, I tried using SG Migrator to move site to live. I received errors every time I could not find any information on. I then went to SiteGround, tried to tie the WordPress site to the URL there.

At some point, something worked. The client can see the correct website being displayed. Here are my two problems:

    1) I cannot see the correct site. No matter how many cache clears and refreshes I do–I still see the SiteGround’s version of the basic template, NOT the website I created. My client and several other people I asked to look at the site DO see the correct site, even though I cannot. Another person I asked also sees the template (wrong site) using that same URL.

    2) I can no longer edit the template that is correct. I get an error message every time saying it was deleted, even though I didn’t.

Finally, I used the same login and password for Wordspress.com (creating site) and through Site Ground WP access (Thought I was logging in but it looks more like I created a duplicate account.) But depending on where I login at, I see two different dashboards and two different websites. I cannot find anything on where to fix this.

Please help. I have such limited experience in WordPress, but this is something I can’t even find resources on to correct. It says I’m not supposed to be able to have duplicate logins, but it appears it let me which caused the issue.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey there,

Many thanks for reaching out and we’ll do our best to unpick things as best we can – let’s get started!

When I visit: ussubnv.com (which is hosted on WordPress.com), this is what I see.

Is this the site you’re expecting to see?

    2) I can no longer edit the template that is correct. I get an error message every time saying it was deleted, even though I didn’t.

Where would you usually edit the template? The reason why I ask is because, if the site was built on Siteground and then migrated over to WordPress.com, we made need to unpick some things on our end.

Many thanks in advance for the answers in advance! This should help get everything as it should be.

I don’t know if this just took some time or if you possibly did something on your end–but it is miraculously working now! I can edit the page and now see the correct version. This was not the version I was seeing, but it is the correct one.

Everything is working. Thank you SO much.

Hi! We haven’t done anything on our end; but it does sound like it might have been something else that was causing a caching issue – possibly your router/modem since you mentioned you had tried clearing your browser cache already. I’m glad to hear it’s working though! If anything else comes up, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to check it over.
