Two WordPress accounts, but I can only log into one.

  Hi,
  I have two wordpress accounts, one for my student work (deborahjcooper.wordpress.com) and one personal (debsjriccio.wordpress.com) but I can only seem to log into the student one. I’ve tried all kinds of password resets but can still not ‘find’ how to get into it. I’ve tried logging in with different email addresses but that also doesn’t help and I’m almost confusing myself now. I really need to get into my prsonal account. I don;t have any verification codes, but I also had linked a 2nd site temporarily called uniquehandsreiki if that helps t confirm who I am. Please help.

  Hi –

  You should be able to access the site in question by signing in to the debsjanecooper user account.

  If the password reset option is unsuccessful give it a try from a different web browser. Also, remember to check ALL of your email addresses for the notification. Each WordPress.com user account requires a different email address. So there are at least 2 connected to us. One for the deborahjcooper account and another on debsjanecooper

  oh, and also, where it says on my original post ‘the site I need help with… is the one i CAN access… it’s the debsjriccio.wordpress.com one I can’t get into

  Hi –

  You need to use the email address that is connected with the debsjriccio.wordpress.com site, that is the one listed on your debsjanecooper user account.

  Put that email address in to the sign in page and then request the new password.

  Hi,
  Yes, this is the issue. I’ve repeatedly asked to reset my password but whatever it changes to, it always takes me back to the deborahjcooper.wordpress blog… it shows me the page, but when I click on ‘new post’ the url changes to deborahjcooper and I get all the page info, stats etc for that one and not the one I want to use.

  Hi there,

  Sounds like what may be happening here is you’re still logged into deborahjcooper while trying to change the password for debsjanecooper. You will only be able to log into one WordPress.com account at a time.

  Before clicking the link to change your password log out of all other WordPress.com accounts. Alternatively, you can copy the password link into a new private window in your browser.

  If you’re still having trouble with logging into the wrong account make sure your browser isn’t’ setup to auto log you in.
