Two WordPress.com sites mixed up
-
I bought two webpages and domains with WordPress.com, one of which is NEW. One webpage for each of my writer names. Somehow when I go to my NEW webpage (rencot.com) the OLD webpage author is the administrator, and the OLD site is the primary site, with the ‘view my site prompt’ going to OLD site. If I sign in under the OLD author, I can access all the sites for which I am an administrator but my new site has the OLD author as the administrator and the author of all my posts on my NEW site. I can’t even set the OLD author as administrator of the OLD site and the NEW author as administrator of the NEW SITE. How to fix the mess I must have made of this by separating the two webpages totally? Thank you so much in advance.

Hi there,
You are posting here as the username,
ritarencot. This account does not own any sites or upgrades. You are a user on the site, http://ritabay.wordpress.com, but that site belongs to a different account. The site connected to the domain, rencot.com, likewise belongs to a different account. We’ll need you to post here as that account to help you with any aspect of that site.
If the
ritarencotaccount is supposed to be the owner of any of the sites in the other account, log into the other account first, then follow the steps here to transfer ownership of the site and its associated upgrades:https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
If that’s not what you’re asking, please let us know, and please use the actual site URLs and account usernames involved – using generic terms like old site/new site does not give us the details we need to help here.
