Type of word ads displayed on my blog

Hello, some of the word ads appearing on my blog are inappropriate (in my opinion) such as FUBAR, etc. How can the type of ads appearing be changed, targeted more appropriately?

I see some blogs that have wordad banners in the header and on the sidebar/widget area. What do I need to do to get wordad headers and on the sides?I currently have wordads at the end of my posts.
