Type size
-
Hi all, I would like to change to a smaller type and am not really having any luck. The size of the type or words in my blog are gynormous, almost shouting ( my opinion) and would like to make the type a bit smaller. I would think that this would be and easy thing to do but have continually run into dead ends. I’ve tried entering a typekit code but had no luck….would appreciate any and all help. Thanks, Jim
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could enclose your whole post in a div element and inline styling. For example:
<div style="font-size: 90%;"> YOUR TEXT HERE </div>You would need to switch to the HTML Editor (HTML tab, next to Visual) to do that. Also, you would need to do this every time you write a post which, in the long run, would be a drag… The CSS upgrade would take care of that with 3 lines of code and for the entire blog…
Having said that, I don’t know if it’d be worth buying the CSS upgrade if you can live with your current font size.

@jimlamblong: are you referring to this blog? http://theoceandreamer.com/
I looked at it and it does not look too huge, but I agree, it looks somewhat on the larger side.
Here are some tips regarding the font size: http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
You can also try a different theme that comes with a different font set, or purchase Custom CSS upgrade if you like the current theme – it would then allow you to change the fonts globally. Hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

@jimlamblong: It’s not worth doing any of that. a) How large the type appears depends on each visitor’s screen resolution. b) You and any visitor can press control – or control + and change how large the type appears. (Are you sure you’re viewing your blog at normal viewing size? Press control 0 to make sure.)
Typekit, by the way, allows you to change the font type, not the size.

The type on my site suddenly became enormous and I have no idea how that happened. Do you know how to make it a more normal size again. Or what I would have done to make this happen?

As Panos points out we can all increase or decrease the font size on any site we are viewing. For the keyboard shortcuts you can use to increase or decrease font (text) size see here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/19/how-to-change-font-text-size-in-your-browser/
P.S. When your font size becomes enormous this could be because you accidentally clicked and got the ZOOM mode. Can you try View > Zoom > Reset in your browser
