Typed email wrong when registering

Well, I guess it is time to slow down a bit when typing because I typed my email address wrong when I registered and now I have no way to authenticate my account. I went in and changed my email, but I am guessing that it will not actually change until I activate the wrong email – – correct?
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

If the email address did not exist when you set up the blog, then it would have been returned as undeliverable. You are probably going to have to contact staff on monday and give them a description of the problem and all the details (wrong email address you used, username, blog URL (starting with http://) and the correct email you want to use).
