  • Hi there,

A few questions: To confirm, what site is the is in regards to? Are you using the HTML Block or the Classic Block when saving the Google Doc? Are you following the instructions from our support page when trying to save?

    https://wordpress.com/support/google-docs/

Let me know, and I’ll be happy to look further into this for you.

    Thanks!

Hello, and thank you for your reply!
I’m new to the site and still figuring out where and what everything is. I don’t really know about the block type, but I don’t think it’s Classic…? All I know is that I downloaded the WordPress for Google Docs app and followed the instructions from there. When the app window opened, I could see my site – Lin’s Place writ4.wordpress.com and was told to “Pick a site to copy this document to below. It will be saved on your site as a draft.” I click Update, and it seems to be working fine until the update finishes and I get the error. I tried for several hours, clearing caches, restarting the computer, refreshing the document, etc., but no luck.

  • Hi there,

You are referring to the WordPress.com “Add-on” for Google Docs, as mentioned here? https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-com-add-on-for-google-docs

I do see that you have a few draft posts on your blog, is one of the ones you see here related to your Google Doc? https://wordpress.com/posts/drafts/

The Google Docs add-on will send the doc to your connected sites, but it is sent as a “draft” so it’s not published live to the site until you publish it in WordPress.com

    Thanks!
