I need the Typekit ad taken off my home page, also I need a solution for the Google Chrome browser connection warning:

Your connection to this site is encrypted, but Google Chrome has detected mixed content on the page.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Google Chrome warning is nothing to worry about. WordPress.com is switching all our sites over to https and that warning simply means not all the content on your page is secured by the https connection. As visitors are not required to enter sensitive personal information on your site that is not really an issue. http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions

WordPress.com displays advertisements on all our blogs. Not all visitors to your site will see them (I, for example, don’t) and you also won’t see them on every blog you visit, but they’re there and that’s how WordPress.com generates revenue on our free blogs. The only way to not have any ads appear on your blog is via the No Ads upgrade which is part of the Premium and Business upgrade bundles. http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

Thanks for your input @kokkieh. From my research, I do realize all of those things and the mixed content involves more than just blog post ads, yet I believe there should be a fix for the annoyance. WordPress.com should operate in a much more sophisticated manner.

Secondly, I still need assistance in the removal of the Typekit ad from my homepage. Would a staff member please address my concern. Thank you.

If you no longer want to use your grandfathered Typekit fonts on your blog (https://typekit.com/colophons/wce1wfi), which is the reason for the notification in the lower right corner of your screen, I believe you will have to remove your WordPress.com site from your Typekit/Adobe account.

Just to be certain this is the correct procedure, I’m going to tag this for Staff input. Please be patient while they get to you as they have a backlog of tagged threads waiting for their attention.

Also, please be advised that once you remove your grandfathered typekit fonts, you won’t be able to return to using them. You’ll then have to purchase the Custom Design upgrade to use Custom fonts.
