Typekit issue possibly related posts
-
Is there a way for me to disable the ‘Possibly related posts: (automatically generated)’ notification that seems to appear at the bottom of every post? Many of the suggestions are not at all related to the subject!
Secondly, is there a way to disable the Typekit installation as it doesn’t support my theme Motion, and I want to get rid of the annoying scrolling ‘T’ logo in the bottom right corner of my blog.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry, got it!
But I think he/she is wrong about all WP themes supporting Typekit. It says on two different parts of their site that it supports specific themes: http://typekit.assistly.com/portal/article/6840-Using-Typekit-with-WordPress-com
Motion is not one of them. There is no option to choose Motion from the dropdown, so I can’t use the service. Unless I am missing something?

Actually, panos is correct. For example, the announcement for Spectrum theme shows how a blog with Typekit looks like… and that theme is not part of the list you are quoting:
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/10/13/new-theme-spectrum/So, you can add Typekit on any WordPress.COM blog by specifying which elements you want to modify (H1, H2, P, etc.) It’s just that it takes less effort when you tell TypeKit which theme you are using among the meager selection they offer.
-
By the way, the list you are quoting is (unfortunately) outdated. PressRow was replaced by Pilcrow, and Cutline was replaced by Coraline. Such a shame from Typekit…

I noticed these posts here because I have been having the same problem with Typekit as stewiejt. So how do I make it stop asking for my theme and just let me specify what elements I want to change? Also, what are all the page elements and what do they mean?
-
You may well be right about being able to add Typekit fonts to themes that are unlisted, but Typekit won’t let me get past the ‘Choose your theme’ instruction, so I can’t specify any elements from the Typekit Editor..
Any ideas? Am I looking in the wrong place?
I’m using Chrome 8.0.552.224 under Windows XP SP3.

Have you people considered using the link at the bottom of that page on the TypeKit site and contacting their Staff for support?
You could scroll to the bottom of this page locate “Still need help?” and click “Drop us a line”

‘We people’ may have thought about doing just that, but we weren’t on that page!
From the Typekit Editor, if you can’t add your theme, there is nothing. Dead end.
Frankly, I find the ‘help’ availabe for new members not to be intuitive at all and between WordPress, Typekit – and some Forum members – often conficting in advice.
Google do it better.

I’m sorry that you feel that way. I thought that if you used the email address provided for TypeKit Staff help they might be able to deliver it as the product is their product and not wordpress.com’s product. We Volunteers do the best we can to help and it’s too bad you find our efforts to be substandard when compared to the Google empire’s well paid support Staff and their delivery of service. However, they don’t provide TypeKit support so best wishes for getting a speedy solution.

@beatacybulska
Will you please post the complete URL for the blog you are having problems with starting with http:// -
@beatacybulska: To answer your question, once you launch the Kit Editor on TypeKit, you should see Selectors on the right sidebar. That’s where you would add elements such as H1, H2, P, etc.
This being said, in order to answer your other concerns with precision, it would be important to include the link to your site please.
