typographical errors introduced by the app/WP

I keep finding typographical errors that were introduced after the fact, by WP or the app. I go back to the original post and find the errors are not present, but when I use WordPress, these errors appear. Numbers have zeros removed, periods or commas appear out of nowhere and sentences get jumbled into nonsense.

At this point I seem to have fixed everything that’s obvious but there are dozens of posts to review still. I hear other folks say the same thing that their posts are being altered after publication, and that WP doesn’t believe us and doesn’t care. So what can we do to avoid our posts being altered sometimes months after they’ve been posted? I ask this because I always re-read posts periodically, for various reasons, and only then do I spot changes. Changes that happened to the post months after it was posted, and after months of being unaltered upon previous spot checks.

WP is hurting our writing, our product. Please, WP, listen to us and please fix this. You’re ruining our work by changing letters, punctuation, or numerals. This has got to stop. I really hope it’s merely a coding error and not intentional. If intentional then this starts to make people think they need lawyers. Let’s not go there, eh, WP?

Just fix the problem and be done with it.

Can you give us the url of a post or page that as you claim, has been ‘altered or changed by wordpress.com’?

  • I don’t see anything particularly wrong at https://dissentersandskepticsoforegon.wordpress.com/ and nothing is standing out in your site’s logs either.

In fact, there hasn’t been any post activity since one was trashed there a month ago and one made private a week ago, both by your account.

Just to be sure, what is the URL of the site with the problem and the title of the post or page with the problem?
