Typographical problem in the archived posts in Chateau theme
-
An ugly typographic thing is happening in my blog (Chateau theme).
In those smaller archived articles that show only a snippet of each post, the line titled POST: Share TwitterDiggFacebookEmailStumbleUponetc etc continues into the right hand column of archived posts, effectively blocking out the text in those archived posts.
Is this a problem with Chateau? Is it something that can be fixed?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

HI SacredPath.
This shows up on all of the pages because Chateau shows one complete post at the top and has a bunch of shorter archived posts below. The URL is: http://peregrine5700.wordpress.com/

Don’t just post the link, turn the link into a text link otherwise you will always have the problem. The links are too long for the double column area and there is no way for the software to logically break the link.

In other words, on this post, http://peregrine5700.wordpress.com/2011/08/16/mavs-air-force-bugbots/ , you might turn the first link into either “bugbots” or perhaps “designworldonline.com” and link that text to the actual page, or say something like,
“The following from designworldonline.com” and link designworldonline.com to the site.

Maybe I am not understanding you here. The problem comes up only with that line that WordPress inserts about sharing. Here is a screen shot of the problem:

Wait. Here it is correctly (I hope). But I understand your comment about the double column being the culprit. So if that is so, then I will just live with it since there is no fix. (Choose my fights.) :-) :-) :-)

I do not understand what you are saying here. Click onto the HTML in the box right above your message to me above. In it you will show the arrows I drew which indicates where the problem is.
I do not see where using a text link has anything to do with the problem of that SHARE thingie going on and on into the right hand column.

You delete the URL that you have above the video and put this text above the video
designworldonline.com
You then highlight the above text, click the link button in the editor and paste the full URL in and click the “insert” button and the text above (which is way shorter than the URL) becomes the link to the site where the video came from.

@Rich: She’s not talking about links inserted in the posts, she’s talking about the sharing buttons showing up as text below each post when the concise layout is selected. This needs to be moved to the Themes forum.
In the meantime, Lorna, you can go to Settings>Sharing and select Show buttons on > Posts and pages only.

Panos, ok, I went to Settings > Sharing and switched the setting to Posts Only. Now all is well. The only wandering long lines come from long URLs, and I can live with that because I know that it is not a problem in the software system but just my long URL.
Thank you, Panos, and to you as well, Richard, for sticking with me last night and so many other times.
Maomao, your message seemed quite apropos at that time, but I dared not click the link you provided. :-) :-) :-)
