Uggggh!

Okay, I’m sitting here making small changes to my sidebars. Everything looked good. Then… my vodpod is missing when I see my blog, not in my dashboard, I can see it there. And then the right sidebar moved down to the bottom of my blog page. I tried moving things back where they were, but no use, the sidebar is still at the bottom and still can’t see my vpod even though dashboard says it’s there. Any suggestions?

First, I swear I’m not this stupid. Even though it sure looks like at the moment. Does this ever happen to you? For no reason, my text size changes by itself, in the view area. I happened to look at a different page that I frequent, and noticed it looked different. I look under my view tab and text size is on largest, not medium which it usually is. I change it, and low and behold, there is my sidebar right on the side like it’s supposed to be. Before clearing the cache my vodpod majically appeared. So it’s all good. Now if I could get my little banners to show up while looking through my browser, I’d have it made. Thanks for the help though. I’m sure you’ll hear from me again, about some other simple thing. Please be patient with me… still a little new at this.

Allot of your sidebar is now at the bottom of the page. Let me check it out some more to see if it’s because of a picture a pixel or more bigger.

I’m still seeing everything fine in Safari 3.0.3 Beta and Firefox 2.0.0.7 (Windows not running at the moment).

@thesacredpath If you get a chance to see it through Windows, let me know how it looks. I see it all where it’s supposed to be. Just those pesky banners not looking right. The whole box with red x in it thing, except the diggit one. If you’ve got an ideas, I’d love to hear them. For now I’m signing off. Night!

I’ve had a quick look as well (on Windows) and I’m noticing some differences between different browsers; it all looks perfect in Firefox, but in IE and Opera your two sidebars aren’t aligned; the inside one on the left starts about a third of the way down the page instead of at the top. And your banners seem to be broken as well (red Xs), but appear fine in Firefox. Weird.
Where are you uploading your images to, to WordPress or a host like Flickr? You could try the opposite just to see if you get a different result; I host all mine at Flickr and haven’t had any problems with banners or anything like that. Also, your Aleck’s Teeth picture is very large; it looks bigger than the content box, which can sometimes cause problems with the sidebars. I’m not sure if that’s causing what MMSL is seeing but it might be worth shrinking it slightly just to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks guys.. working on your suggestions now. Let you know how it goes when I’m all done.

Man you guys rock! I was using the img src from a certain web page instead of right clicking and saving pic as and then hosting them somewhere. I did that and put them on my flickr page and ta da!!!! I’m a happy girl now. I can say all looks just as I want it now. Well… at least until I get bored and decide to move things around. But I think I’ve learned some things from you guys so I hopefully won’t have a problem.
Thanks all!!!! -

I just checked using the same firefox version and you’re right. The sidebar is back at the bottom of the blog again. -
Maybe there’s a tag not closed. I’ve destroyed pages in my blog because I couldn’t find the unclosed tag.
